A Laughing Matter

"A Laughing Matter" tells the true story of Horace Wells, a Hartford, Connecticut dentist who, in 1844, discovered anesthesia using nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas. After being robbed of his discovery by a friend, we follow Horace to his tragic end, just as he is being hailed "The Father of Anesthesia" in France. It is a story of the tragic results of greed.
